Compute Module - LEXIS 2 Platform
The Compute Module of EXA4MIND relies on the LEXIS 2 distributed-computing and data management platform, which has been adapted to handle Extreme Data. It helps you out where a local or one-system deployment of the EXA4MIND Platform is not sufficient, and you need a deployment on larger infrastructure.
The LEXIS 2 Platform maintained by IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Centre offers:
- single-sign-on access to distributed supercomputing (High-Performance and Cloud-Computing) ressources,
- easy deployment of software stacks such as the EXA4MIND platform, and
- easy execution of multi-job workflows based on these frameworks.
To flexibly address the LEXIS 2 platform, also from within deployed EXA4MIND-Platform instances, LEXIS offers APIs, a LEXIS Airflow provider and a Py4LEXIS Python toolkit to control job execution and data movement.
The Documentation on the LEXIS Platform is available at https://docs.lexis.tech.
